  • First tune is "Monroe's Hornpipe".

    He's a master player.Thanks for posting this

  • Yes. J.P. is his younger brother and my uncle.

  • Hi bigdjindustries. Is this guitar picker related to the Joseph Cormier on your channel (If I can Find the Time) ? Thanks.

  • Awesome picking!

  • Second part is Salt creek, then it goes into Billy Cheatham.

    - DJ Cormier

  • I live in Nashville. One day I was Gruhn's trying out a Collings D2H. Nearby, I saw this fellow playing another guitar really well. I asked him if he would put the one I was looking at through it's paces. He obliged and then played the strings off it! The player turned out to be P. J. Cormier and I had never heard of him! He was very nice. No big ego or swelled head. No big attitude either. Too bad he doesn't live in Nashville anymore. A week later, I bought the guitar.

  • is the second part salt creek?

    whats the first part?

  • I met JP after finishing a show in Truro at 2 am during a blinding snowstorm we were both filling our gear filled vehicles at the gas station when I had to go over and say hi! He not only took the time to chat but his Wife Hilda jumped out and said hi as well,World class acts with Huge talent :) Thanks so much for posting!

  • LOL

  • JP's got lots of recognition around the Maritime provinces and indeed around the world as a bluegrass and celtic Cape Breton fiddle, guitar, banjo, mandolin and everything else you can name with strings! Saw him at Stanfest '07 and met him at ECMA 2005 - he's a mountain of a man and a hell of a musician.
