The devourer of worlds, Galactus, had his eyes set on Noran Rad's homeworld. Noran saw all that he loved and everyone he cared for. He couldn't bare seeing it all destroyed, so he made a pact with Galactus to serve him if he would spare his world. Galactus agreed and Noran Rad became the Silver Surfer. As his servant, Noran went from planet to planet picking the ones with enough energy to satisfy Galactus' hunger until he came to Earth. There he met a woman that reminded him of his old love on his planet and whom he could never see again. He couldn't continue bringing distruction to other people's homeworlds. He then made his stand against his former master. It's easy to look at others with a pompous attitude. For some of us, we remember what we were before Christ and learn to look at others with simpathy. Instead of scorning them, Christ compell's us to love them, but not justifying their wrong. In this, people will more likely turn around and see their error. We were sinners without hope too. It's not our right to doom others.
