Shark Catch-and-Release From A Kayak, Part One of Three

I was fishing alone in my kayak during an expedition camping trip when I hooked a gray reef shark on a trolling lure. I got him up to the kayak okay, but then when I tried to release him and I lost my pliers overboard. So I paddled him into the shallows, then across the reef to where my friend was. My friend Vaughn came out with another set of pliers and so I proceeded with the release.
