On Failures :
reboot,
click on your username, choose Classic Desktop
or classic Desktop (safe mode) from the menu
now you should be able to reset the settings with ccsm on an other desktop.

  • Danke für deine Profileinstellungen, denn ich bin schon verzweifelt was Compiz angeht. Allerdings gehen einige Einstellungen bei mir nicht - aber ich denke das liegt an meiner verwendeten Ubuntuversion (12.04Alpha).

    Schade denn die Reflektions fand ich sehr gut ...

    hast du die extra plugins installiert ?

    sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion-plugins-extra

    Die hatte ich tatsächlich nicht installiert und ich hatte auch bei "reflektions" nicht hochgestellt - deshalb auch keine Reflektionen ;)

    Nu funzt alles.

    it is called "conky". A system Monitor wich you can modify with a hidden text file ".conkyrc" in your user folder.

    Find conky in the software center or with synaptic.

  • @TheRegRunner i dont think that my bios is capable of handeling the video card and

    it didnt do so in windows

    i use evga precision

    and the energy section talk about cpu and memory no gpu

    i would think there is something in the BIOS wich causes the error ? Try some settings in the BIOS (energy ... )
