The town I live I left behind
But still I feel the same.
My mind is full of love and of pain.

In front of me a boy.

One station then he says good bye.

I don´t know why I left my home.
And still I feel so insecure and alone.

But I got a nice, fine window seat.
I left the world behind.
I can´t forget these boys and guys
and men who owned my mind.
But hope there is a new life to find.

@DavidWayneMusic Hi Wayne, thank you very much for your kind comment. I wrote this song more than 25 years ago. In 2008 my brothers helped me to make a good recording of it. It is one of my first uploads on YT. Yesterday I met a little girl that fits to your story. I want to make sketches of her today.

The first song I've listened to which is by a female songwriter on YT that has immediately reminded me of John Lennon. It must be because the narrator has such an innocent voice, plus, the second augmented chord which rises up and picking style are reminiscent of the Beatles somewhat. Or at least music from their era. Beautifully made.

Oh thank you Curtis Mateer for that great compliment. Maybe it is because I wrote this song in a time when I listened to John Lennons music very often after he was shot down. That perhaps influenced me. And I am a true Beatles-fan until today :-)
