Linnanjuhlat 2011 real-time Twitter stream

Finnish independence day celebration on Dec 6th, 2011, as seen from the official Twitter hashtag #linnanjuhlat. An incredible amount of live commenting took place, which also resulted in #linnanjuhlat becoming probably the first Finnish hashtag ever to be trending worldwide on Twitter.

The soundtrack is Porilaisten marssi, the honorary march of the Finnish Defence Forces since 1918. The Twitter app shown on the iPad screen is StreamBoard.
