@legshakermaker1968 Oh no, the russians won it. So I suppose you should be using the russian word for humor. Look it up, the internet exists for a reason!

uhhh....its comedy sketch folks, not a historical document.

@WorldWar2Boy German generals though an Invasion of Britain impossible. Among other things in your statement that are wrong, you'll find the UK did win world war 2 as they were part of the Allies who defeated Hitler.
Obviously you haven't spent quite enough time in school.

@SuperCactusman Actually. Hitler wanted an Alliance with Britain, he offered them peace with Germany having mainland Europe and Britain having the Sea (metaphorically of course)
-
@ngK44 in honesty, the British were actually considering unification with france to stop France from dropping out.
-
@schnorschrajaxx That makes you German.
Look up the history of Europe...
-
@ngK44 do you have a source specifically saying this? If so can you tell me as this would be a very interesting read.

@mattg109 Actually, during the Dunkirk crisis, the british government seriously considered a conditional surrender to the nazis (we were about to lose tens of thousands of soldiers, after all). It was only the miraculous rescue of french and english soldiers by the civilian "little ships" that enabled the war effort to continue, and lead to Churchill famously swearing that surrender would never again be considered. (We will fight them on the beaches, we will fight them on the landing grounds...)

@WorldWar2Boy America didn't join the war until pretty much 1942, and listen to some of Churchill's speeches if you want to see how close Britain was to surrendering (hint: not very). Plus, even if Germany had won through Britain surrendering, they wouldn't have occupied Britain, instead probably left them alone apart from damages. Also, it's spelt humour and by the by, "I could care less" makes no sense in the context it's used in.

berlin surrendered to the russians
This is a great sketch. I like the positive comments from German viewers. I should point out though that in the UK we have a good sense of humour, not humor. Using the American spelling might give them the idea they won the second world war and we wouldn't want that, would we?
