@khalsasikh Exchange programs happen all the time between allied nations. Because the majority taking part in these exchanges are already para-trained, having done their own equivalent jumps courses, all they have to do, to earn british Wings, is complete however many jumps. They don't have to do P-Coy nor do they have to attend a basic jumps course at Brize Norton.

@khalsasikh I don't know about the P Company training, but I know there were several Americans serving in the Paras on a sort of exchange program at the time of the Falklands conflict. Apparantly they got very upset about not being able to go with the task force as the US wanted to remain "Impartial" during the course of the conflict. They are mentioned in several books I think they were on loan to 3Para, so maybe they did the course?

its very possible, i know that airborne soldiers can go on foreign jump courses, so its possible.. never seen it myself though.

9 sqn is a squadron of 23 engineer reg along with 51 and 12 sqns, when you get posted there you get a maroon beret, after passing the course you can then peak the beret and get a para smpck instead of your original combat jacket, you then go on to do your jumps when you can get your wings
1000, 200, 3000 chack canopy, thank fuck for that.
