  • The answer to your question is Yes. Your uncle's recipe is very traditional and standard. Some people add soda as sweetener and for tenderizing the meat. Some add ginger and lemon to the marinade, as in my case, because I love these two ingredients. It all depends on your preference I guess. :-)

  • I made this for my family for the first time. And it was deeeeelicioooous!!!!!

  • You're very welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed my recipes. :-)

  • My uncle is half korean and he puts scallions, garlic, soy sauce, browned seseame seed and oil, and brown sugar in the marinade, (he and my grandmother are from Korea) so I guess my question is: are there different ways to make bulgogi? or is are their's americanized? either way it is delicious, when he visits he always serves with homade kimchi and sticky rice.

  • Awesome. I am salivating as I watch your video.

  • Thanks matahariwk for all your recipes!

  • no asian pear?

  • Looks very tasty Cathlyn. I love all types of Asian cooking, esp. Korean. Thx again.

  • Not all korean american women are like

that. certainly not from where i live.Maybe

it's because the korean women you know

are to americanized, or only concerned

about other things. The korean women

i know are very good at cooking korean food, and have a great personality.

  • lol~~ your probably meeting the

wrong type of korean women. Most

women in korea are great and cooking

    and certainly prefer a somewhat

    traditional korean women that knows

    how to cook!!!
