Madder than dirt Kurt Busch has joined Phoenix racing for 2012, in a 1 year contract marriage flirt. Will it work? Or will this Stock Car Racing communion crack up?
@2000gpg Well I will follow his exploits and his explosiveness, that's for sure. Is there anybody, or anything that interests you in Stock Car that I could blog/video on? The hardest part, or at least half the battle, is finding new topics to do. Especially when I post up every 2 days.
He may do a season with Phoenix Racing, keep himself fit and come back with a better team in the future who knows. I think the root of his problem, was the emegence of Brad Keselowski at Penskie, when he was not the top dog, Kurt Busch started to blame the equipment, the crew, Nascar, and anything else.
Kurt seemed ok in the 2 car for a couple of years or so, he helped Ryan Newman win the Daytona 500, I thought he had matured into a top racer at Penskie, then it all went badly wrong in the 22.
Nascar has always sold itself on a bit of controversy, guys feuding, wrecking one another ect, but I never heard Dale Earnhard, Richard Petty, using foul and abusive language and behaviour in front of TV reporters, and bad mouthing drivers who are far superior in talent and championships won, Kurt Busch has only himself to blame, you cant expect sponsers and top race organiations to put up with ranting and raving, foul language and disgusting behavior.
@2000gpg Let's hope Kurt does OK with Phoenix. It would be great to see him "get it together" on a temperament level - but it would make it less interesting for the casual fan!
Kurt will do really well, maybe even get a couple of top 20 finishes, Jimmy and the 48 must be laughing their heads off, cant believe any professional sportsman would act like Kurt has and get sacked from a mega deal at Penskie, with winning race cars, huge sponsers....absolute madness

@2000gpg So do you think he can reform with Phoenix Racing? If he can't - and he only lasts the year, wonder what will happen to him then?
