  • Doesnt Look ,, Well,,, Real Enough..

  • Please remember this is Theatrical Makeup. It is meant to be viewed from 20'+ away.

If one was doing the makeup for film/video; then it would need to be less exaggerated.

  • What would you use for removal of these techniques? Would you just use baby oil like you would on regular stage makeups?

  • This is regular stage makeup.

Cold Cream works well, including those pre-moistened wipes.

  • could you use black eye shaddow ?

  • You wouldn't get the same results as using true theatrical makeup, but use what you can!

  • I like this tutorial, thank you very much! I would have put a bit more purple instead of the green, but either way it looks very good!

  • Looks great!!!

  • This is an excellent tutorial and black eye.I particularly like that you explain WHY the color is where it is.I do that whe I teach master classes. I might suggest mixing the yellow on the puffy part with a dab of hilite to brigthen it.Remember people theatre makeup is exxagerated to compensate for bright lights which bleach pigment as well as distance.

  • I actually have a black eye ATM and at around one minute into the vid it was spot on. I love the thought process behind the technique :)

  • that's one color full eye?!?

  • This is great! In the show I'm in, we have a black eye in Act 1 and Act 2 and I'm in charge of makeup. This is really helpful! Thanks a ton!

  • how did you get that mark on your lip?? it looks really cool.

  • ...then a nice, unhealthy green... LMAO!!!

thx for teaching me how to freak the hell out of pple :)))

  • haha it looks nothin like my black but i guess i will see if it works good trying 2 skip school
