This was recorded on Mahalia's final Tour in 1971 before she died. This was the Tour she became very ill and had to be taken home to Chicago,she never fully recoverd and died in 1972.

She was so famous. "Let there be peace on earth" truly an ecumenical song
applicable to all religions and nations. I remember each time Mahalia Jackson
appeared on a TV program, it was like a special event.

She had sarcoidosis. The same illness that took Bernie Mac's life. Steriods are used for treatment which causes what they call moon face.

This woman, this amazing woman have changed my life. When I was feeling really down and lonely she remided me of The Lord, and the love that is around me.
