i also had this problem. hey all you need to do is insert a piece of paper with your memory card. then turn it off and on again. :) that worked for me.

but buying a new one is also the fastest solution lol

ok, i read some of these comments (oh btw my psp was doing the same thing as urs) so what i did was take it out and bend it a little and sure enough, it started working. what u do is bend it the way the cooper ways. ur welcome

my psp light turns orange and now half of my songs are missing when i synching music to my itunes when i disconnected my psp there was a blue folder with a 0mb in the bottom and you cant delete it or nothing but the songs are still gone i had like 200 now its just 57 has this happened to anyone before

same thing happened to me, used the paper trick and it worked temporarily... now it wont read at all. ive discovered its a design flaw in the psp reader. when the card sits in it too long (mine was over 12 months) it starts bending it. so chances are your psp is fine, and your memory card is fine, its just bent so your circuits dont connect. a new memory card will work, until that one gets bent.

U just bend the card at the end it will brake s bit then it will work had the same problem

unfortunately it happened to me too. i searched for a solution at the net but the net cannot provide an answer... so, sorry to tell you but i think you have to buy a new one...
