Many also believe the antichrist will come from the Roman Empire and will be the last pope. The Anti-Christ has to be Jewish and has to come from Israel in order to be accepted as the 'Messiah' by Israel and eventually the world, though, the Anti-Christ in truth will be a false messiah. He will rule over the portion of the world that was the old Roman Empire.
