I work at a switch yard and we use sd-40s to shove the hump. We usually use 2 engines per cut but a few days ago we tried to shove a 6800 ton cut of 40 foot hoppers filled with limestone and they couldn’t do it! They sure tried though! We had to add two more I hear that sound everyday and I still love it nothing beats an emd at notch 8!
