@Taylorslade123 I agree with you .. but to me, and i can only speak on myself, i thought the outcome of his fight with floyd was obvious. This was based on the sloppy style that Hatton presents. He had a lot of holes in his game and floyd will make you pay for every mistake. but thats neither here nor there. is Hatton a great fighter, no, he was a good boxer with great potential. now did he do great things for the international boxing community. yes.
You need go find a diagram of the human anatomy and have a look where the Kidneys and Liver are, and if you still think that he hit Castillo in the Kidney then your fucking blind.
@Souljah808 Look, Im not saying Hatton was a great fighter at all, I'm just saying that he done a massive amount for the sport and he lost to the two best guys of this generation. Everyone picked Tszyu to beat Hatton, so it couldn't of been that much of an obvious result.
@oasis4ever92 - See? That's my point. You actually counted old shot Castillo as a great win...he hit him in the KIDNEY (not the liver) to win. He cheated the whole fight with Kostya with the holding, faking a low blow, then BLASTING him in the nuts after? Yeah be proud of your boy. Also, don't act like the Collazo fight was a masterful performance. Floyd and Manny fought him to get paid and EXPOSE this bum. For crying out loud, soft punching Floyd KO'd this dude. And PAC ALMOST MURDERED HIM
@Taylorslade123 Kotsa tsyu and castillo .. those fights were awesome .. i'd say that makes him hall of fame worthy. especially because the kotsa tsyu fight who was already inducted into the ibhof.
@Taylorslade123 I'll admit it ... i was glad he lost to floyd simply because everyone somehow forgot the skill level of mayweather and thought that hatton was just going to walk through him .. as far as pacquiao goes .. i was rooting for hatton but didnt give him much of a shot. It's hard to come back from a KO especially fighting another KO artist .. once you get knocked out your more susceptible to it again. As far as traveling .. your right, a lot of casual boxing fans here but no real ones.
seems people love to knock British boxers , but over the last few years theyve slowly overtake the yanks , youve got hand ricky his props , jesus the guy was world champion ,hand the guy his props , and only lost the two bar far superior boxers in his weight divisions ...get your boxing knowledge sorted you fool
@oasis4ever92 I wish there was another few more young fighters like him on the way up right now. I think a lot of the people on the American scene were glad to see him lose to Mayweather and then Pacquiao, even though they won't admit it, I think it's because they were tremendously jealous of his drawing power, and the fact that for Floyd he brought almost 40,000 fans to Vegas and 30,000 for Pacquiao, yet the yanks wouldnt travel a fucking mile to support their guys.
@oasis4ever92 Exactly. People can knock him, but anyone with any sort of boxing knowledge would say that he had some fine scalps on his resume and that he was a top world class fighter, just not an elite-level fighter but at least he gave it his best and put it all on the line, which is more than you can say for a lot of fighters now. He was the lineal champion from 2005-2009 and that doesn't happen by accident. And you can't imagine the last 10 years in boxing without him.
