My first attempt at a time-lapse using my new Canon 550D. I wanted to show how some poppies followed the sun throughout the day. It starts off OK, but then it is too windy and the poppies move a bit too much so the time lapse isn't very smooth, and eventually the poppies are loosing their petals.
I used manual focus, auto exposure. 1 photo every 30 seconds.
I also used a cheaper timer remote I found on ebay for £19.95. It is a Neewer EZa-C1, but there are many similar clones on ebay. Works fine.
@hotbrightsky Switching to Single Shot mode did the trick - thanks! Must remember to read the manual in future. I don't suppose you managed to get the remote to operate the video function did you?

No.
Leave the camera in single shot mode. Don't switch it to remote.
Let the remote do the work.

Sorry, not much I can add.
I didn't set anything on the camera - so it is just in the 'normal' single shot mode. It is the remote that is doing all the work.
Good luck. Lawrence
