Nela Otuafi is a songwriter/producer who was born in Laie Hawaii and raised in San Diego California. From a very young age he knew that music was more than an interest. Learning music from his father and other very talented family members he decided to commit himself to studying the craft. He attended the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts where he studied Music & Music Theory. In 1995 he attended Southwestern College and enrolled into their Music Engineering program, where he studied Sound Engineering and Music Programming. While at Southwestern Nela founded one of the most ground breaking groups in the Polynesian Music "Pau Hana". 

In 1997 Nela decided to leave Pau Hana in the midst of it's success to fulfill a goal he set as a child which was to serve a 2 year LDS mission to Panama. Those 2 years were vital to the Christ centered music that he now shares with the world. In the past decade as a songwriter/producer his achievements include "R&B Album of The Year" -Southern California Music Award, "Best Out of County"-Orange County Music Award, "Reggae Album of the Year"-Na Hoku Hanohano Music Awards, and the coveted "Social Action Song of the Year"- Independent Music Award. He has had placements with Toyota, Shaka Laka, and just recently VH1.
