@mojoman4147: perhaps I'd even find something when researching in Folk and Popular Music libraries. My question mostly rose out of the fact that there's a Copenhagen both in Louisiana and in New York, and being an avid enjoyer of Jazz but not quite a buff concerning history bits and trivia information I thought it may refer to one of these two communities. But, as I said, researching it is no bad idea at all, perhaps I'll then have my own bit of trivia to relate to others. :)

@Kraehe not a clue I'm afraid. Many early jazz songs such as this had lyrics which weren't recorded, if you find them it may give you a clue perhaps :)

The title refers not to the Danish capital but to the brand of chewing tobacco, Ole Olsen (Davis's Tuba player) used while playing. Charlie Olson wrote this composition.
