  • question: Why so many CoC reviews? I'm pretty sure that there are hundreds of other rps out there. IMO the reviews of core books are the best ones you do.

also: a request: Could you review Anima: Beyond Fantasy?

  • Because that's what we own or were sent, We can't afford to run out and buy every RPG, not that we wouldn't like to but we can only review what we own or are sent...and Kurt is a big COC fan and gets them all. If you watch past episodes, especially the first 50 you can tell what Kurt really likes to play, almost all the early reviews are from his personal collection.

  • to be honest i love these reviews because i almost never have to listen to kurt talk about d&d or even d20 most of the time, and i like that. there are all kinds of reviews for d&d, and thats fine, but some of us like something different...am i right youtube world? am I right?!

  • I'm not sure you've played with bad GMs, just that their desired style of play differed from yours. Some people like CoC to be a meat-grinder, which is fine. I just remember never to go out yachting with them.

  • THE KING WILL COME THIS WINTER

  • you the man kurt.

  • @blithium--It's not like you just happened to let something like that take place without meaning for it to happen. Cultists spend decades planning for that shit. It's a big, world-ending event, and yeah, if the players don't stop it,it's time to pick up and start off with a less doomed timeline.

  • where can you find tatters of the king anyways?

  • @pugknowspro

    Keep CoC reviews coming!! :D

  • I have a question about Call of Cthulhu. Say for some reason Cthulhu gets loose on earth. How do you keep playing after that? Do you just start a new campaign and pretend it never happened?

  • HASTUR!!

  • Murder on the Orient Express, really railroady, LOL, I laughed so hard at that pun :)

  • Ok, so I want to say that last line is a reference to a certain successful attempt to bonk a mYythos God on the head, but I am not completely sure.

  • Not true, Tatters of the King is faaaaar superior to Secrets of Morocco. If you are going to buy a "Secrets of..." book, buy Secrets of San Fransisco or LA. Both of those products are much, much better then Secrets of Morocco.
