I rolled out of bed at the sound of our alarm and started putting my clothes on for today. Tess and Caitlyn got up a couple minutes after me and they wanted to do their hair and make up, which I couldn't be bothered do to, and I didn't want to wait so I started walking to the dining hall. Hardly anybody was up, and breakfast wasn't gonna be ready for a while so I decided to take a detour and walk along the lake. It was beautiful there. A good place to think, write songs, like Shane had discovered last year, and a good place for relaxing. I sat down, dangling my legs off the edge of the surface. I think I'd sat there for about 5 minutes when someone tapped my shoulder.

Mitchie: *turns around* Shane?
Shane: *sits down* hey
Mitchie: its so good to see you *goes to hug him*
Shane: *moves away* stop. Don't make this any harder for me Mitch.
Mitchie: huh?
Shane: this is really hard for me to do. So im just gonna say it straight out. I do not want anything to do with you ever again, okay!?
Mitchie: WHAT!?
Shane: you heard me. stay away. Don't try to talk to me because we are never gonna happen *stands up* bye Mitchie. *walks away*
Mitchies P.O.V
This cant be happening. It has to be a dream. Hot tears started rolling down my cheeks as it all sunk in. the old Shane was back. No, scratch that, Shane NEVER changed. I cant believe I fell for him. I wasted a whole year waiting for him and it was all a waste of my time. And to think I actually thought I was falling in love with him. I feel like my heart has just been ripped out and been stood on right in front of me. the tears wouldn't stop coming down. I couldn't face everyone in the dining hall right now. Not like this. Im a mess. I stood up and started running. Where? I have no idea.
