This is what I was taught on my first shooting trip:
1. The gun is always loaded.
2. Don't point at anything you don't want to destroy.

The glock 22, 23, 24, 27, and 35 are all chambered in .40 caliber Smith & Wesson.

There is, presently, no Glock 40. However, I have just listed all five Glock .40s without exception. The distinction is between the model number and the caliber of the weapon, which should be readily articulable without enmity or hostility to all belligerents in this thread.
