I was always down on AR's until for being too small until I realized you can put a .308 barrel on them.

No AR needs a gas piston. The linear "floating" BCG isn't designed for it

I run Nib m16 carriers in all my carbines I build and love them...though you can I wouldn't recommend running them completely dry. Metal on metal always likes a little lube regardless NiB or not. Not a fan of the shiny exterior of the NiB upper.

I'm a big fan of the carrier groups and have them in all my guns. It really is best to run them dry so nothing sticks. The only issue I have with the receivers and I think they would sell more if they accommodated it, would be to finish the exterior normally and just treat inside. .02
When you actually clean it does it extend the life even longer then not cleaning it?

@CGeren2 I clean it every 500 rounds or so now and it is some tuff stuff that is easy to clean....

i went to there site and was wondering whats the difference between there m4 upper and ar upper. if you know im curious.

@dp665 The Rifle upper does not have the extended feed ramps like the M4 upper.
