ZL Daily #1 - iPad 2 Hands On, iPad 2 Gets Jailbroken, WiFi-Only Motorola Xoom Coming

This is the first episode of ZL Daily and I talk about today's tech news.

First I got my hands on the new iPad 2 and wrote a comprehensive blog post covering my experience. I think it's very fast, and very well designed. It's kind of hard to use with two or even one hand but if you set it down on a table it feels nice to use. And I ran into no problems with slowdowns or anything.

The iPad 2 got jailbroken already which is good news for those who jailbreak, a guy on Twitter called @comex hacked it and got Cydia installed on it. It's not a public release and he's saying it doesn't work on iOS 4.3 though. A public release is coming though.

The Motorola Xoom costs at lot of money at $800, but rumors have showed up about a WiFi only model. And that's what just got leaked in a Staples advertisement. According to staples it will arrive on March 27th for just $600. That's quite a bit less than the 3G model but it's still pricey for a tablet.

@permanetmarker2004 Thanks, I picked the iPad 2 jailbreak since I've been asked about it a few times, and then I picked the Xoom WiFi since I'm personally interested in it, and I picked the iPad 2 hands on since it went along with the jailbreak. And the quality looks great on really any device compared to the older videos, I'm really liking my new video camera.
