I trained for months and ran my first full marathon in Osaka, Japan. The Osaka Yodogawa Citizens Marathon started in Hirakata City and went all the way down the Yodo River to Umeda and back again. I ran it in 4 hours 44 mins. It was an awesome experience.

I'm doing a few 10k's in between and next Spring another full marathon. My goal will be 4 hours-4 hours 10 minutes. In other words....I have a lot of training to do! Luckily, Kobe, Japan....where I live....is a sweet place to run.

Special thanks to KansaiPJ for coming out and filming my run. Check him out here:

  • Congrats BK! That's amazing. I'm planning to do my first marathon next fall, the Chicago Marathon. Best wishes on your future races. Maybe you'll bring the camera along the next time around. ;-)

  • Thanks a lot! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun doing that run. Never matters what the distance, just as long as you're out on the road running and having a good time :)

  • Tell me, O muse, of that ingenious hero who travelled far and wide after he had sacked the famous town of Troy. Many cities did he visit, and many were the nations with whose manners and customs he was acquainted; moreover he suffered much by sea while trying to save his own life and bring his men safely home; but do what he might he could not save his men, for they perished through their own sheer folly in eating the cattle of the Sun-god Hyperion;
