when theres no motor input and you use a negative pitch in the blades to keep the rotation mass of the blades spinning, and right befor you hit the ground to flair your blades to creat temporary lift

thats one of the coolest things ive seen with a heli. not long started flying. hopefully get myself upto that level one day

You cant auto rotate down if the battery completely dies can you?

@fpsvincent142 Do not listen to those people. autorotation is when you purposely or accidentally turn off the power in a helicopter. the helicopters blades will then spin in the wind as the heli falls and before reaching the ground you adjust the pitch of the blades to make them pull the helicopter upwards. this wont pull it upwards of course without power but t will slow it down enough to land safely. this is autorotation which is also used to save real helicopters from crashing

autorotation is when the helicopter go way high to the air and then he put the helicopter off, the helicopter go down really fuking rapid but almost crashing with the floor the man put it on again and start flying again, thats auto rotation

Excellent video and skills. How do you cut the motor? Do you use a 3D mode pitch curve with 0% throttle on a switch?

Thanks Free07Style. Yes, I use the "Throttle Hold" switch in my radio. I have it programmed so that the pitch curve remains the same as in my 3D flight modes, but the throttle setting goes to 0%.

whats your pitch setup? i got -3 on mine but it cant hold up like that. guess im not building enought head speed on the fall

Hello, my pitch is set to +/-10deg in all flight modes, but I estimate that I use about -3 or so during the auto. I'm using MAH 463mm blades which are slightly heavier than the Ikarus FG and MS composite blades, so that helps.
