what a helluva talent, this man was more country than most country singers during his great rein in his chart topping years. ladies and gents, this is how it's done, no smoke, no mirrors. no loud band noise to cover lack of singing skills and or talent. no bright lights and funky b.s. to hide the fact that thrashville sold you a worthless bill of goods. kids don't try this at home, this is a true God given talented Country Music Singer/Songwriter. We wish you well Mr Charley Pride... COA ...

This song hit me like a ton of bricks. I haven't started to put anything of my recently deceased wifes' stuff or pictures. I haven't the heart. What a real song.

Hit #1 on the Billboard country chart for 1 week in Apr 1979
what a great voice and one of the great country music singer/songwriter. for those who love country music and hasn't heard many or even any of Mr. Charlie Pride's music, wow, they will find one of the all time best. even though i grew up in the 60's 70's, i still love his music. it pisses me off how we whites treated the blacks, "No-One" is w/out sin, may God forgive us.

This song came over the radio on a camping trip & I did something that I have NEVER done & will NEVER do again...cried in front of my nephew's and their dad. This song caught me totally off-guard & I was about 1 beer from falling down, anyway, so the booze just intensified the effect. Amazing how music can do that, even to a non-emotional hard-ass, like me.
