  • Hillary Clinton's Iraq Vote Speech:

"So it is with conviction that I support this resolution as being in the best interests of our nation. A vote for it is not a vote to rush to war; it is a vote that puts awesome responsibility in the hands of our President and we say to him - use these powers wisely and as a last resort. And it is a vote that says clearly to Saddam Hussein - this is your last chance - disarm or be disarmed."

  • Thank you for the calm, fair and unbiased interview. Intersting and important questions were asked but she was also given a chance to defend her position which has been helpful in allowing me to independtly reach my own conclusions on her position. A 5 star interview.

  • I looked up her 02 speech upon voting which confirmed she said her vote was not to be interpreted as authorisation of a preemptive rush to war, but to acknowledge that a threat existed and urged for a diplomatic approach 1st.I have also found sources that confirm that she supported Colin Powell's stance and his position on the war also wasn't simply black and white and he wanted inspectors to confirm evidence 1st and wanted support from the UN and diplomacy 1st.
