It's very hard to make any plans when you have a chronic disease.

  • I can so totally relate to everything you said. It's so hard when you're young coz you feel like your life is over but I just keep trying and thinking that medical technology keeps advancing and eventually I'll be cured and thus able to achieve all my goals.

  • @iluvmusic375 Yes, it is hard. I think you just have to adjust things a bit ya know? Hang in there. I hope you get to acheive all of your goals. :)

  • I suffer from crohns disease as well.. I have had 2 surgeries 1 ion 2010 & another 2011.. In 2010 i had some of my large intestines removed & had to get a ileostomy.. In 2011 1 yr ltr I had the reversal surgery performed as I had put my crohns disease into remission by doing the scd diet & taking a bunch of vitamins. I have applied for ssdi as well & have gotten denied twice already I am now waiting for my 3rd appeal which will be a court hearing.. I am hoping to win my case so i can stay home.

  • i make long term goals, like buying a house and owning a dog, not annual goals. i take it one day at a time too, and appreciate what i get done, and save what i don't for when i can. I accept that i love to do way too many things and my health can barely handle one, so i take each project one piece at a time :)

  • I try not to think about it much when I start thinking about it because I know its that 'what if' part that gets me depress or over thinking it. I know I'll need to save as much as I can, make contacts because we wont be able to rely on our self when things get bad. Not knowing that is kind of like going on a week long hike with just a few bags of Trail Mix and water. Social Activities are important, but we get them a lot less like holidays....They used to be weekly for me! But that's ok.

  • You'll be alright, you have a lot of things going for you despite your disability. You should try and get a roommate. I know a lot of people on disability that have roommates to help pay bills but they never claim them.

Don't worry so much. You'll get where you're going as long as you keep heading in the same direction. Plus you'll always have your good looks.

  • Great video!!! I don't make plans for the future. I take it one day at a time. As my children can attest, I never make promises cause I don't know if I will be able to keep them.

  • what is your symptoms so I can take care of you
