true. when one claims that their nationality is American, others will say 'aren't you Hispanic or Mexican-American?'
but in a sense you are an American, however your ethnicity/cultural background is Mexican or Spanish.
no matter how one explains it there will always be a few who don't understand and would rather a person who looks 'white' to claim that they are an American.

He does speak for most people, what Americans seem to be blind of is the fact that the American population is only a small percentage of the overall world population. That being the case only Americans love America the rest of us just wish you'd shut up get on with life realise there are many other great countries all with positives and negatives and you arent as wonderfully special as you all tell eachother everyday, everyhour, everyminutes and every second. Get over yourselves.

I have no sense at all of patriotism. America is not the worst, or the best country. If I could have chosen where I was born, I would've chose Australia, Canada and the UK over this. I can't really comprehend the point of patriotism, because we're all just people. To me, we are all equals (unless you are a moron, then you get your own little corner. This consists of most of the world). If the world had no sense of patriotism as a whole, the world would be on the same level. We would live as one.
