Scenic World Blue Mountains Australia- Cableway

This is what I went on during the 2 weeks that I was recently away for. Scenic World is located in the Blue Mountains about 110km west of Sydney. It travels up and down the cliff face. It was manufactured by Doppelmayr Tramways Switzerland. Installed in 2000

I remember riding in that! I hated the feeling when you suddenly started to kind of 'drop' and when you see the greenery looming deep below the skyway and then the long cable down into the distance! Then thinking what'll happen if it snaps!! LOL!!

Yeah, we went down on the train and up on the cableway. The scariest part was when you got to the top tower and you looked down almost 200m. There were some overseas tourists on and they were a bit nervous about going on it and they asked the driver 'does it get stuck?' And as a joke he said 'Yeah, all the time'

BTW Mitch, I have the same reaction to these things...I've rode this one about 3 times and never really liked it

They also have an Aerial Tramway, it is the only horizontal Aerial Tramway in the Southern Hemisphere, but it was to misty to get a good vid of it.

i went to the scenic world today but i went on the skyway! it was so fun when we got to the other side we started walking towards The Three Sisters (they are three gigantic rocks) but i never got to actually see it up close cuz my parents said we walked so far they were tired lol
