This is a video showing all the progress that has been made on Milkshake, the official editor of the open source 2D framework "IceCream" for XNA.

All the graphics used in the video are borrowed from the official XNA Platformer Sample. I am showing how quickly and easily you can add sprites, tilegrids, particle effects, post processing shaders, edit a collision polygon, etc.

IceCream is currently developed by Conkerjo and Epsicode; no release date yet

  • @garfbradaz Read the description.

  • Very nice, Is IceCream available for download currently?

  • This is definitely the best map editor i have ever seen for Xna. My only wish is that it be License free, so we could put our games on xbl. Thanks for all of your hard work!

  • I think it will be open source...

  • This looks fantastic! Will you be charging for it?

  • is this going to come out on xbl

  • I made an editor for the platform example in Visual Basic, took me about half an hour to have:

    Map loading

    Map saving (including save as)

    Tile placement

    Tile delete

    Multiple enemies

    Adjustable stage size (level width)

    Nice work!

  • I tries looking up your Efnet channel, but it wouldn't show
