Dog tries on his new Ruffwear walking boots for the first time. Bought after suffering a nasty cut paw on descent from Scafell Pike. Read about our favourite walks on www.prestonwalkies.blogspot.com

  • Hi. They have been great. Invaluable again in the summer when he cut another pad but more recently fantastic in the snow. Don't slow him down at all once he's got used to them as you'll see on the recent avatar photo here twitpic.com/photos/prestonwalkies Well worth the money!

  • Haha, he moves. We got ours some for the salt/cold ground contact put em on and she stands there. Treats, toys, who cares! lol. Have you tried the grip trex for snow or colder days at all? Noticed you have the socks to go with em. I can't seem to find any of the polar boots in my area in the right size + the polar ones are somewhat bigger. Or wet days? Will the boots soak through and get cold?

  • @prestonwalkies Poor fella! We were worried about how our pup would take all the rocks and small stones we usually end up walking over so I'm glad these are available! Gorgeous dog and thanks for the boots advice =D

  • Ahh bless him! We're doing a few walks with our dog when she turns one this summer. We can't wait to get back to the Lakes =) how did you find the boots worked for him?
