One of our first investigations this year was to look at the conditions of pigs on a site where the farmers have already been prosecuted.

I am so thankful for the important and vital work of Hillside exposing this dreadful animal abuse, thank you for sharing your findings and I hope there will be a follow up in due course with vastly improved conditions for these pigs to live in. If only they could just be confiscated from the owner and removed to a place of safety and warmth, by law. Animal protection laws in the UK need toughening in my opinion to end this kind of suffering immediately.

This is a disgrace. How can a law allow these poor animals to suffer in these conditions for another week before action is taken. The law should allow the RSPCA to act now. And how ridiculous that these so called farmers were not banned from keeping all animals - what on earth was the presiding judge thinking of?? As Babyrose49 commented this should be on the TV news. These monsters need to be named and shamed on a national level then locking up for a very long time in similar conditions!!!

This is Hell!

Our Government is a shameful failure and are accomplices of such atrocities. If Animals could describe us, they would reveal a horrendous and evil image of our human species, something that in no way resembles the one we foolishly pride on as a "superior species." You should have dragged them out of their nice warm beds and forced them to spend the night in the slurry. Animals would be treated so much better if people knew they'd be treated the same way. What was the outcome of this?
