  • Do you have video showing how to set up the underlying BGP network?

  • @orlasoe

The only BGP in the entire config is on the two PE routers, and is a iBGP neighborship.

The ISP is just using OSPF everywhere, in a single OSPF area.

    Best wishes,

    Keith

  • Thank you for the comments. I use SecureCRT (which is around $100), with a tab open to each of the routers. Putty (which is free) has a tool called Connection Manager (CM) which is also free, that lets you use tabs to switch between device as well.

    Thanks,

    Keith

Regarding the typing speed: When I plan out a video, I prep the commands and have them ready. Sometimes I will do the audio separately (after the fact), and sometimes I will automate the scripts. My typing is about average, and I am thankful for spell checks!

    Thanks for your comments, Keith.

  • Great videos! Thanks

  • good tutorial dude! u r a gooooooooood demonstrator.

  • @XSFlanger

    1) To hide provider network from customers performs trace route, in global config mode of PE routers you need to type no mpls ip propagate-ttl forwarded .

    2) Don't think so .

    3) I second that. Really nice icons.

  • That was really nice video. Hands on configuration is always more interesting and educational in my opinion! Got some questions as usual :)

    1) How do you, as ISP, hide your IGP hops with MPLS labels from customers so they don't appear in their traceroute? I believe most ISP's hide this info.

    2) Is it possible from customer to still observe hops mentioned above, using some kind of custom traceroute utility?

    3) What software/icon set did you use to draw the diagram? Looks really great :)

  • Incredible video simple and straight to the point!!!

  • You talk way too quickly....wow.

  • really appreciate your approach and enthusiasm. in my graduate coures, I presented your materital to my grad. students, to help summarize MPLS and also showed your demo on the routers. I think it really helped to congeal the many concepts about routing protocols and versatility of MPLS from a provider's point of view. what tool do you use to switch between the routers?
