http://greenpeace.org.nz/oil-petition - Greenpeace activists held a legal protest outside Port Taranaki against a ship that is due to depart imminently to start exploring for deep sea oil -- the new frontier of oil development off New Zealand's shores.
Where has Greenpeace been? Since oil/gas drilling began heavily in Taranaki. The people of Taranaki live with it every day, that there could be the potential of an oil spill or gas leak; in their back yards, in the front of their sea views, and along our roads.

An after-thought: you green freaks all have that same scary look: the frizzy/matted hair, the straggly beards, The bulging eyes, skinny complextions bordering on emaciation, and always with that crazed look in the eyes. Some (like this simon boxer) just look weird and have annoying monotone accents.
Then again, maybe it's just me.

What does the rena whacking into a reef have to do with oil exploration by the polarcus? A container ship sinking is completly different from a blown pipe.
Anyway I'd rather there was some sort of income made from our resources even if there is the possibility of an oil spill. Who's more important anyway? The people that can make a living from this industry, or the sea life that greens make almost impossible to harvest? Oh well, at least you gay hippies had a bit of fun with your stupid signs!
