@thelastlonesurvivor, there is a truth in what you say, but i think that the church to often spends its time attacking each other and each others methods. All we do is destroy ourselves and each other not Gods heart at all. If you believe in change be the change.

After 45 years serving in numerous evangelical churches I have found the reason people don't want to come to church is because churches are focused on maintaining themselves and using people to achieve their program goals. Maintaining churches and ministries is not the good news. Wrong focus, wrong place to be to serve the Father. Jesus did not hang out much in the Jewish Temples. Neither did His disciples. They were too busy serving the Father to get bogged down with institutional maintenance.

@thelastlonesurvivor This is very true. However, it is important to note that, for many people, it is merely a way of being able to express their overflowing excitement in the moment. People don't necessarily do it to show others how excited they are, it sometimes simply happens uncontrollably (this can often be the case for me).
