@pgh45rpms I am fortunate to have such a record in my possession. I used to play "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" at different speeds (the player had a slide over all speeds from zero to one hundred RPM's. The Chipmunks sounded "normal" at about 30 RPM!
@sassyjass Yea but you wanna know whats really facinating?? This Record came out in 1958...and so did "The Witch Doctor" by David Seville...and Alvin and the Chipmunks were at the height of their glory in 1985....1958, and then in 1985...how interesting
I always found it interesting that the early 45s of Chipmunk songs had non-Chipmunk material by Ross Bagdasarian on the flip side. Guess he didn't realize at that point that Alvin and the Chipmunks would end up being the musical project that gave him the most success.
