SIC Kids idents / separadores

Separadores do SIC Kids, um bloco de programas infantis. O primeiro separador é da Publicidade, e o segundo é o identificativo do SIC Kids.

SIC is the third television channel in Portugal. SIC stands for Sociedade Independente de Comunicação. SIC was launched in October 1992.

SIC is a portuguese tv channel, wich stands for "Sociedade Independente de Comunicação" ("Independant Society of Communication", in english). Wich in english would be "ISC".

I understand that if you read it on an english way it may sound like "sick". But if we are portuguese we can't think in english but in portuguese way.

Then, let me say it as the non American, non native English speaker that I am:

SIC is an acronym with a phonetic pronunciation, and most of their viewers don't even know what it stands for.

Kids is an English noun.

Using an English word with this linguistically neutral acronym resulted in an english-sounding phrase.

Does it sound Portuguese?

No.

Does anyone ever expand S.I.C. when saying it?

I don't think so.

I simply know a bad idea when I see one.

Because "SIC" is a portuguese tv station. "SIC" because of the tv station and "Kids" because it's for kids lool.

Before you leaved the coment, you should have thought that this is not an american tv show and the americans are NOT the center of the universe, uo know? lol
