@crayyawn The song is from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess opera, so the original would have been performed by whoever sang it on opening night. There's probably a cast list somewhere buried on the internet! Would be fascinating to compile a list of all the diverse versions. Radio NZ Summertime season closed every afternoon with a different version of the song this year. Not sure if they played this one...
