Thank you, 47f0! I am so sick of hearing people act like we don't have socialist aspects in our government! What the hell do they think Medicare and Medicaid is? Or SOCIAL security? Of course, I shouldn't be surprise they don't realize that since they think that "socialism" and "communism" are interchangeable terms.

Thank you for your 'real' definitions. I am sure you were trying to prove me wrong, but if anything you just proved my right. My wording of the definition of socialism matches almost all of your definitions. Mine simply delineates the probability of a degree of variation (which undeniably exists) in the Level of control, ownership, regulation etcetera by the government.
