were those chevy and ford boys telling to you to go 6800 rpm??? No need to rev a Pontiac that high -- rpms are for gutless/torqueless engines.

@nachomax Well said. Torque wins races!

@chopedandsectioned About 150 HP, 230 ft/lb torque

what r they numbers??

what that RX-7 guy should have told you, "shift before power drops on the rpm band." hence a dyno to know where power drops off at, everyone who ever looked at a dyno graph knows this easily. as far as the FC, even people that are 6' barely fit in it. i know, because i use to own one.

Dang, only 150HP/230FT lbs to the rear wheels? Was the motor stock? I got a 350P in my '70, mildly built w/ Ram Air III heads/manifolds, 4bbl conversion, high lift "068" cam and other mods. Hoping to make 300HP/390 ft/lbs to the rear wheels.

@deRANGEDkilla Yeah I think it's mostly stock. it has a quaddrajet 4bbl carb and a beefier cam, not sure what else lol.

@GIwillo Thanks, Firebirds are soo fun, but because of there age, they're high maintenance XD mine is currently inoperable until I can afford to tear the engine apart T_T but it is definably worth it, look on Craigslist if you want one, now is definably a time to buy b/c of the economy.
