First throughout history Intel has reigned over AMD, because they keep a lot of x86 to themselves...

Well at the dawn of the millenium AMD was actually better then Intel, Why? Because AMD had 64 bit. Intel waited and saved money by waiting for it to come to them, and that allowed them to get ahead.

So

1970-1995 Intel > AMD

1997-2004 Intel < AMD

2004-2006 Intel <= AMD It had become equal after a while

2006-2012 Intel = AMD x 1.5

So for 9 years AMD was on top.

entre intel y amd la diferencia de rendimiento global es de tan solo el 25% gana intel, pero. te cuesta 4 veses mas, asique me decantaria por amd ya que con un overclocking del 20% las diferencias glovales casi desaparecerian. Explicacion:

Overclocking significa literalmente aumentar la velocidad de reloj del micro, impuesta por el fabricante o sea si tengo uno de 1.8 ghz lo llevo a 2.08 ghz que seria el 20% mas q eso no lo recomiendo por temas de seguridad estabilidad y temperatira.
