Fritz, I gotta say, although it's no doubt a nice system, most of your tweaks are utter nonsense. Reading the disc twice for example. Nonsense. Shorting the external digital input. Likewise nonsense. Also, it's extremely unlikely your copper shield for the power cord input makes even the slightest difference in sound; if it does, the stereo was so poorly designed it could barely function in the first place.

Marantz use to make really good speakers. Anyone know how good their recivers are? My dad has a pair of Marantz Challenger VII's. He bought them in 1979. They still sound great to this day. I bought a pair of book shelf Marantz. They sound very good. Not tinny at all.

What speakercables? Not that ones of 40.000 euro?

Those custom audio stands are very nice looking furniture pieces. Can anyone tell me who manufactures them? Thanks....

I love Marantz products. I'd love to hear this rig using as an alternative Marantz model 9s with premium tubes.

@CreativeCritisizm You confuse electrical conductivity and electromagnetic. Indeed, copper is electrically conductive but it protects from electromagnetic field
