"Favorite Color"
Raining in the tropics afternoons are spent in slow romance
And cool natives laugh at tourists hurry nowhere
I wait to meet you
While the lights go dim nostalgia comes along
It ain't what it used to be
I paint the seaside green and blue
And even when I close my eyes
I see everything you do
chorus
I've got a favorite color
My favorite color is you
I know a secret island
And I want to go there with you
And I'm not gonna work no more
I might be broke, but I'll never be poor
As long as I've got you
I'll paint you every color
My favorite color is you
Sitting like still life on the rocks beside the harbor
Captains sail maiden voyage flying skull and crossbones
We walk the marketplace
Through bicycles and trinket salesmen
Set up in careful rows
I draw a figure in the sand
And even when I close my eyes
I can feel you holding on
chorus
Raining in the tropics afternoons are spent in slow romance
And cool natives laugh at tourists hurry nowhere
I wait to meet you
While the lights go dim nostalgia comes along
I draw a figure in the sand
And even when I close my eyes
I can feel you holding on
chorus
