In order to protect the planet's climate, it is crucial to save what is left of the world's forests. Sumatra, Indonesia is home to unique peatland forests harbouring some of the world's carbon richest soil. We cannot afford to let them go up in smoke.

people keep complaining WHY DO WEATHER CHANGES SO FAST TOO HOT, TOO COLD whatsoever but then again THEY DIDNT DO ANYTHING but COMPLAIN.they're not even care and still polute the air everyday,, cutting trees as if this is only some certain people's responsibilities why do all humans just start to ask ourselves it'd be better

a lot of the palm oil is used to make fuel for cars and airplanes....supposedly a clean alternative to gasoline which is in short supply....so we sacrifice a forest for jet setting crowd who don't know or care about the damage they do to the environment of far away places.

I agree, there should be severe penalties on crimes like this. Illegal lumberjacks should be shot on sight, just like elephant hunters. Nature takes ages to heal.
