These are pictures I have taken from 2005 to present of buses at the Barrie Bus Terminal. Included are: GO Transit, Greyhound, Barrie Transit (including some retired buses), Getaway Coach Lines and Ontario Northland.

Some of the buses were photographed off terminal property.

Songs: Matti Esko - Rekkamies,
t.A.T.u - Nas ne dagonyat, and
Rauli "Badding" Somerjoki - Bussi Somerolle

  • Thanks for this. As I bus driver, I'm glad to find a video with 'rekkamies' set to buses. Are you Finnish?

  • @yukSchmuck No, I'm not Finnish, but am a fan of Finnish music (in particular Matti Esko). I know very little Finnish and Estonian, and some say that I have an accent! I'm also a fan of buses, trucks, and trains in Finland, Estonia, and the rest of the Nordic Countries. I even know some of the technical info of some of the buses in these countries. BTW, in which city do you drive, and for what company? I might know about them.

  • 4:46 and 5:36 have been retired.. they were my favourite..

  • @rolls283 Yeah, they were my all time favourite buses too. They have alot more character in their body style, and the Detroit Diesel 6V92TA with the Voith D863 makes the best sound for a bus. The New Flyers that BT has now probably wont last as long as 639, 640, and 641 did.

  • Yeah, you have probably seen me photographing the buses there.

Did you work for Primary Response?

I'm inactive as a bus driver now, but am looking for work. I have worked for Greyhound USA, based in Seattle, and would sometimes go up to Vancouver, BC. Then I worked for Grayline of Seattle, (which has merged with Horizon Coach in Canada,) and later for a parking company as a shuttle driver, serving a major corporation. I now live in Maine. I've driven 102-DL's, DL3's, those long MCI fiberglass one's which I love...but forget the name of, and MC 12's and even 9's!

  • Haven't worked there full time, only on occasion if somebody takes a day off. I still work for Primary but I moved from Wasaga down to Toronto so now I work in the city. I'm glad there's a police station right on the property too because they helped out a lot when we needed them :)

  • I worked security there a few times. It's a fun job even if it is boring at times :)

  • nice pictures in this slideshow !

I really liked Ontario Northland bus 5091 with the SUDBURY destination sign !

that bus was coming home !
