Lattice's are a neat tool that can be used for animation and modeling.

  • Terrific, although, does the lattice affect the actual vertex points of the object once you've deleted the history?

  • yep, it just translates the vertices though

  • thanks a lot but loose the effing gum bro

  • thank you so much!!

  • Is there something similar for sub-object selections?

  • This is awesome and exactly what i was looking for ....thanks a lot....i appreciate the efforts :D

  • Wow, it sounds a bit like you were chewing gum during that (otherwise good presentation).

  • Thanks for posting this. I was used to Softimage where I think you freeze transformations and I don't think I would ever have figured out to delete history to freeze the deformation if I had not found this.

  • Thanx.. I was wondering how to remove the lattice without losing the deformation. Excellent.

  • again a very simple but good tutorial! that's quite nice to get to know maya a bit :)!!!

  • Simple, to the point, and exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

  • Question

I created an animation with the Lattice, but I want to export this out into another software. The Lattice is not recognized and I lose the animation.

Is there away to embed the Lattice animation into the model?

    Thanks
