  • A parent at the child care center I work at sang this song for us at a multicultural holiday program a few weeks ago and I thought it was such a beautiful song. I am so happy that I found it on here so that I could hear it again. She said it was about a little horse...could anyone by chance tell me what the translation for the song is? I am curious. Thank you for having this here. :)

  • @gilleywagz - You are most welcome, my dear friend.

I too do not know the language here.

Usually when a comment appears like this, someone will do the needful.

    Hope for the best.

    Thank you.

  • Most of the people are asking the translation so I will tell what it is mostly saying. it is talking about a wooden crate on which there is a horse, someone hit the horse's tail and the horse ran and ran and ran to save it's tail and then the other part about where the horse reaches the crossroad and then runs away and meets a barber who shaves the horse's hair and then runs to a vegetable bazaar which is closed and how the horse is very strong and the horse runs aaway saving it's tail.

  • I have grown up listening this song and so ahve all the other children born in late 80s .

  • @gilleywagz Here is literal meaning of the song

    Part 1

A beam of wood, a horse on the beam (a wooden horse toy)

when a hammer was struck on the horse's tail

the horse ran away, lifting its tail up

The horse reached a crossroads (city centre)

    there was a barbar there

when the barbar shaved the horse

the horse ran away, lifting its tail up
