I'm sorry, but I think to enter great white territory in a craft that has a similar silhouette to a seal is courting disaster. If this happened to me, the shark couldn't kill me, because I believe I'd SHIT myself to death!

@poechhacker1 I practically shit myself just watchin on youtube. I was in Perth (Joondalup) when that guy was eaten by a shark and it scared me shitless.

@CT2507 I realize that, manyst people are killed by animals is because of their own stupidity. I don' think I would kayak in great white waters either. i don't like ocean kayaking in general but plenty of people do it.

i kayak myself. but i wouldnt go near shark infested waters. thats not a thril. thats just stupidity.
u never know what can go wrong with u suddently upside down in the water.
perhaps u need to save a beginner and he ends up pulling u into the water... happens often even for experienced kayakers!
only kids take chanses.

@CT2507 I'm pretty shure hundreds of people kayak near sharks every day and nothing happens. Kayakers are killed very rarely. The kayak is almost as big as the shark. It would take a really aggressive or stupid shark to go after that.

Survivors of ship sinkings who float in liferafts... routinely report that sharks come up under the life raft & nose around... and bump the raft.... routinely....
A piece of plastic in a kayak will NOT keep the shark from getting at you. It can bump you & knock you over. Same with gators. Same with hippos.
Kayaks are not protection from wildlife.
Amazing that some people actually think that floating in a kayak near large wild life is safe. They're retards.

we don't believe the it is 100% safe, but it is what we love to do and we don't go out there looking for trouble - just to catch fish.
Bet you a dollar that its safer than crossing a busy street! I wont take the retard comment personally - you are entitled to your opinion.
